The first part of a serial novel issued by Maurice Wolfer’s publishing company as promotional premium under a local imprint. A romantic potboiler, this first installment of Edith’s honor ends abruptly on page 32 in mid-sentence: 


Was such a thing possible? Were her eyes deceiving her? Anguish and horror were written in her pallid face, and then ... (to be continued).


Advertisements for clothes patterns for ladies and children adorn the inside wrappers. 


We cannot locate any other copies of this title in the original, though there might be one at the LOC since the copyright for the publication was recorded in 1909. A complete set of the Swedish translation survives in Stockholm (OCLC 186704835). Issued in 1918 under the title Hans hustrus heder, the Swedish edition runs to 2,079 pages.
