Do You Buy Books?

Absolutely. We are interested in fine books and manuscripts in all fields. We are especially interested in the archives of accomplished individuals, including their correspondence, manuscripts, and business records. Do you have an open shop?

We run Carpe Librum from private premises, but we are happy to welcome visitors. The vast majority of our stock is stored offsite, however, so please give us plenty of warning before dropping by.

Do You Send Catalogues?

Yes, we issue thematic catalogues and lists of new arrivals as PDFs. Please sign up to receive our mailers.


Can I Send You My Wants List?

Absolutely! We'd love to see it.


Do you offer deferred billing?

Yes, but only to institutions. Please contact us to discuss terms.


Can I Pay Over a Number of Installments?

Yes, we can offer flexible, interest-free payment terms. The book will stay with us until the payment has been fully received, but we will take the book off the market once we enter into an agreement.


Which Payment Methods Do We Accept?

Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Check, Bank Transfer (domestic or international), Cash.


Can I Return a Book?

Yes, within 14 days for any reason. All we ask is that it arrives in the same condition as it was received. We will pay return shipping if we have made a mistake.
