A beautiful little production of this much-loved narrative poem. Two siblings, Laura and Lizzie, sample a forbidden fruit and fall under the spell of a host of goblins. They are saved by the power of sisterly love. The poem has alternately been interpreted as a children's fantasy and an allegory of the loss of sexual innocence. Rackham's darkly beguiling illustrations emphasize the latter.
