Salvador Dali, Les Diners De Gala (1973). Signed by the artist.
Dali, Salvador (1904 – 1989). Les Diners De Gala. New York: Felicie, 1973. First edition. Ink stamp to title page readng "Department of European and Contemporary Art / Yale University Art Gallery," otherwise a fine copy in the striking gold foil dustwrapper.

A sumptuously illustrated cookbook by the great surrealist, serving as a visual record of the opulent dinners hosted by Dali and his wife and muse, Gala. This copy is boldly signed by the artist. With an additional inscription by the publisher, the gallery owner Felice Balay, to Robert L. "Bob" Herbert, a professor of the history of art at Yale University from 1956 to 1990 specializing in Seurat and other French impressionists. A wonderful copy of a dizzying testament to the sensual imagination.
