Cormac McCARTHY. Child of God (1973). First edition.
McCarthy, Cormac (b. 1933). Child of God. New York: Random House, 1973. First edition. Some ink annotations to text from a reviewer; very good or better in dustwrapper.
The author's brutal third novel, following the murderous wanderings of a young outcast in the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee. The dark lyricism of McCarthy's inimitable prose has made him one of the most admired stylists of his generation. The novel was adapted for a 2013 film by James Franco. This copy belonged to a reviewer, who has made a few occasional notes to the margins.
